What Is Rhythm Heaven Groove?

Rhythm Heaven Groove is a rhythm game for Nintendo Switch developed by Nintendo EPD and TNX, with music by Tsunku♂. It is the fifth main entry in the Rhythm Heaven series and launched worldwide on July 2, 2026.

Rhythm Heaven Groove Wiki tracks 80+ solo rhythm minigames and 30+ local multiplayer games for up to four players on one console. A free Starter Demo on Nintendo eShop lets you carry progress — including medals — into the full release.

Rhythm Paradise Groove is the PAL-region title for the same Nintendo Switch game. Players time button presses to catchy original tracks while catching veggies, bouncing fruit, swinging hammers, and more.

  • Platform: Nintendo Switch (TV, handheld, tabletop) — playable on Switch 2
  • Solo structure: 16 sets of four rhythm games plus one Remix each
  • Rankings: Keep Trying, Good, Amazing (medal), plus Perfect challenges
  • Multiplayer: co-op and versus rhythm games on one system
  • Beatspell: unlockable rhythm RPG mode with spell timing
  • Demo: five solo games + Rhythm Tweezers multiplayer with save transfer

Quick Start

First steps for new players — from the Rhythm Heaven Groove Wiki beginner path.

  2. Run input calibration

Complete the TV input delay test in settings — especially when playing on a television. See the calibration guide.

  3. Clear Set 1 rhythm games

Start with the first four solo minigames, then the Set 1 Remix. Aim for Good to advance; chase Amazing for your first medals.
